Ana is a Research Fellow at the Partnership on AI, working in the Fairness, Transparency and Accountability research group. Her work mainly focuses on developing and evaluating methods for explainable machine learning, and her other research interests include algorithmic fairness, ensemble learning, graph representation learning and AI for social impact.

Ana is a PhD candidate at the Informatics Institute at the University of Amsterdam, supervised by Maarten de Rijke and Hinda Haned. She holds an MSc in mathematics from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, where her studies focused on algebraic structures and mathematical pedagogy. She also completed her BSc in mathematics and statistics at McMaster.
